This series of photographs was taken during one of the routes across Europe with Adam (25 years old), who works as probably one of the youngest long-distance lorry drivers. This seemingly easy profession requires unique skills and many sacrifices. Not everyone is as lucky as Adam and has the possibility to leave for one or two weeks only. Many drivers do not see their families and loved ones even for several months. They live from one parking site to another, from loading to unloading. The cabs become their homes for a long time and the stops are very often the only way to talk to somebody else in person. On motorways they move from town to town like sailors sailing from port to port... and many of them are no longer able to live differently.
